As a fan of photography i must stand up and applaude(bravo)this is one of my favorite exhibitions of all time."Who Shot Rock & Roll is the first major museum exhibition on rock and roll to put photographers in the foreground, acknowledging their creative and collaborative role in the history of rock music. From its earliest days, rock and roll was captured in photographs that personalized, and frequently eroticized, the musicians, creating a visual identity for the genre. The photographers were handmaidens to the rock-and-roll revolution, and their images communicate the social and cultural transformations that rock has fostered since the1950s. The exhibition is in six sections: rare and revealing images taken behind the scenes; tender snapshots of young musicians at the beginnings of their careers; exhilarating photographs of live performances that display the energy, passion, style, and sex appeal of the band on stage; powerful images of the crowds and fans that are often evocative of historic paintings; portraits revealing the soul and creativity, rather than the surface and celebrity, of the musicians; and conceptual images and album covers highlighting the collaborative efforts between the image makers and the musicians" -Morris A. and Meyer Schapiro Wing.

Michael Kulick is a new and upcoming artist in NYC. Showing at many art gallerys and featured in many magazine articals, Michael has work sold around the country and is soon breaking into europe. Michael is motivated by presenting a challenge or puzzle that stimulates the viewers mind. Michael started painting seriously about 15 years ago and has never stopped. Michael Kulick has worked with the Antagonist Art Movement in NYC, Dj rave/artshows, artwork used in a Spike Lee and Jay-z documentry on Rocawear campain on the web and tv as of september 7th, The Skinny (art gallery/bar),http://alltradeart.co.uk/michael-kulick, L.A. art auction project to raise money to send students to a conference with the goal of resisiting the militarization of youth and society, sells his prints at www.fineartamerica.com/artwork/tag/michael+kulick , and currently is showing 40 paintings at Backstage Studio Productions located at 323 Wall St. Kingston 12401.

Scrolled in artz.

ScrollnArtz, LLC founded by members President/CEO Joey FresH and VP/Designer Jordon Blake back in 2006. Jordon took the definition of scroll which means: “paper which has been written, drawn or painted upon for the purpose of transmitting information” and applied the slang definition of “scroll” which is utilized to engrave an expression; and discovered it was the perfect word for the clothing line. Jordon, a very talent Artist brings a twist to the Industry by Personally Hand Painting each garment making each item unique as well as a collector’s item. Every cloth represents the mastermind of Jordon's creativity at its best and each garment is his own personal piece of art. ScrollnArtz is what he called it, marking it as the name of this particular brand.
since 2006, ScrollnArtz has made a mark in the fashion industry. The company even grasped the attention of BabyPhat's very own Kimora Lee at her 2007 Fashion Week Fashion Show. An invitation to participate in fashion week followed shortly thereafter.

There are many great things in store for the ScrollnArtz brand; and, as they start off the New Year with their 2010 Fashion Show Tour this upcoming spring, they will continue to cover ground across the country.
